Entertainment PR is exciting, a little scary and what drove me to public relations in the first place.
I have had the joy of working with actors, producers, directors, and films. Whether I’m promoting an independent film that has just been accepted to the Sundance Film Festival, a female director who is creating powerful politically driven films, or a talented actor who is proving that even minorities can prevail in Hollywood, I am passionate. I am passionate about the themes, the people, the industry and more importantly, the art.
Each day is full of new people, new surprises, and lots of passion.

Minerva Productions was founded as a theatrical production company whose primary intention was to give women more opportunities both in front of and behind the footlights. It expanded to include film in 2009. The mission now includes children, the LGBTQ community and all other underserved and often ignored factions of modern society that need a voice both locally and globally.

Joey is the 2019 recipient of The Adrienne Shelly Foundation Women Filmmakers Grant on behalf of the Sundance Institute. She is an alum of the AFI Directing Workshop for Women, Tribeca/Chanel “Through Her Lens”, the AFI/Fox Directors Lab, Universal Pictures Directors Intensive, and the 2018 Sundance Institute Screenwriting Lab and Sundance Creative Producing Summit.
